MDI Tomorrow's
Bicycle/Pedestrian Safety & Access

From the MDI Tomorrow Transportation and Community Health workgroups, a Bike/Pedestrian Task Force was formed to encourage bicycle and pedestrian safety and accessibility in our communities.  The main goals of the Bicycle/Pedestrian group are to improve access and connectivity among village centers, neighborhoods, and subdivision developments and to provide safer pedestrian and bicycle access to schools, work, community services, and recreational opportunities.  Additional objectives involve promoting active living designs within our communities through supportive policies, facilities, and environments.
